This policy explains how ticket changes, cancellations, and refunds work for bookings made through FlightsFareX. Because tickets are issued by the operating airline, every request is subject to that airline's own fare rules in addition to the terms below.
1. Airline fare rules come first
Most discounted, promotional, or basic economy fares are non-refundable, non-changeable, or non-transferable under the airline's own fare rules. Your agent will explain the specific rules for your fare before you book, and again if you request a change.
2. The U.S. DOT 24-hour rule
Under U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, if your booking is made at least 7 days before departure, you're entitled to cancel within 24 hours of ticket issuance for a full refund of the base fare and government taxes. This is a federal rule that applies regardless of fare type. Any FlightsFareX service fee charged for booking assistance is separate from the airline fare and is generally not covered by this 24-hour rule — your agent will clarify this for your specific booking.
3. Airline travel credits and exchanges
When a ticket is non-refundable but the airline allows changes, the airline may issue a future travel credit for the fare value, minus any carrier-assessed penalty. Credit terms — validity period, transferability, and which carrier it can be used on — are set entirely by the airline, not by FlightsFareX. Using a credit toward a new booking may involve a fare difference, an airline change fee, and a FlightsFareX service fee for handling the rebooking, which your agent will disclose upfront.
4. How to request a cancellation or refund
Cancellation and refund requests can't be submitted through this website. Contact an agent directly at +1 (603) 699-0188 or by emailing support@flightsfarex.com. Your agent will verify the request with the airline before any refund can be processed — approval and timing are ultimately controlled by the airline and your bank, not by FlightsFareX.
5. Flight cancellations, delays, and schedule changes
If an airline cancels or significantly delays your flight, your refund or rebooking options are governed by that airline's own involuntary-change policy. Your agent can help you pursue the options the airline makes available; a FlightsFareX service fee may apply to handling a re-accommodation, which will be disclosed before you agree to it.
6. Payment disputes
If you have a question about a charge, contact your agent first at +1 (603) 699-0188 so we can look into it directly — most issues are resolved faster this way than through a bank dispute. We reserve the right to provide relevant records (such as your call with an agent, where recorded) to your card issuer to respond to a disputed charge.
